I have to admit, I've had mixed feelings since I learned that Covert Affairs has cast 24's Sarah Clarke in a recurring role. In my humble opinion, the show doesn't necessarily need more characters. It needs more Arthur and Joan! ;)

I agree with you! I was really hoping that Joan would become a mentor to Annie, and now that they have cast this new character I feel like Joan, along with the Joan/Arthur storyline, is just gonna get less time :(

According to TV Shows on DVD, season 2 of Covert Affairs is being released on May 1! (Yay!)

We just found out the same news as well! SO EXCITING!! :)

Does anyone know if they've ever revealed the name of Arthur's secretary? She makes a brief appearance in a fanfic I'm working on, but I don't know her name.

According to imbd and the end credits of In the Light (1.05) her name is Midge. She’s played by actress Victoria Foder.

I just finished watching the pilot episode for about the 7th time (or so), and I love the dynamic that Arthur and Joan have had right since the very beginning. Even when they're fighting, even when Joan is accusing Arthur of cheating, you can still tell that they love each other. I do kinda miss their sessions with Theo, though.

Thats the great thing about them, how deep their love is. The sad thing is that you have to look close at first to see it, and not every viewer does :( So lets hope that love gets more exposure in season 3!

Joan and Arthur are just such an interesting couple. Before I thought their whole storyline was a tad annoying. He’s her boss, la la la, CIA political mumbo jumbo. But honestly, their love for one another is so strong despite everything.
